It’s inevitable that our skin loses it plumpness and elasticity leaving the appearance of loose, baggy and wrinkly skin as we age. Whilst this may not worry everyone, there are lots of people trying various successful and unsuccessful solutions to reduce the signs of aging. Looking and feeling your best doesn’t always have to resort to cosmetic surgery, injectables or ‘magic’ lotions. There is an alternative solution that’s affordable and uses your skins natural process to provide plumper tighter skin.

Defined Lines  are proud to offer our clients a revolutionary non-surgical, natural skin tightening procedure for wrinkle reduction that is more cost effective, lower risk and less downtime than cosmetic surgeries such as eyelid correction, neck lift, brow lift and face lift.  We are based in West Malling but have successfully treated over 100 clients in Sevenoaks, Aylesford and across Kent.

Stacey at D is our practitioner in Plasma Fibroblast which is a technique that uses Plasma to ignite fibroblasts in the production of collagen and elastins leaving the skin tighter for 2-5 years. The Plasma device used is designed, developed and manufactured in the UK by Plasma Elite so you can rest assured it is safe and adheres to UK regulations.

Using the very latest Plasma Fibroblast technology and protocols we effectively treat common skin conditions including;

  • Wrinkles
  • Drooping Eyelids
  • Heavy Eye Bags
  • Eye Crows Feet/Laughter Lines
  • Neck Wrinkles/Loose Skin
  • Upper Lip Wrinkles
  • Nasolabial Folds
  • Perioral/Smokers Lines
  • Frown Lines
  • Acne Scarring
  • Skin Tags
  • Moles and Warts

Compared with other surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures the benefits of using Plasma technology are very appealing;

  • No need for scalpels, stitches, botox or chemicals
  • Produces natural looking results
  • Stimulates the body’s natural mechanisms to produce collagen
  • Minimises risks and side effects
  • Quick and easy procedure
  • Result last many years
  • Return to work the same day

The procedure uses a specially designed Plasma Fibroblast Pen to omit small pulses of electrical energy from the tip of the device which are directed towards the area to be treated. When the pulses meet oxygen in the atmosphere it creates a small Plasma Arc which touches the skin and sublimates causing instant skin shrinkage and tightening.  Multiple pulses are systematically targeted at the affected area until the correct amount of shrinkage and tightening is achieved. Tiny brown carbon dots are visible on the skin which will eventually heal and fall off over a period of 6-8 days. Although the benefits of the treatment will be noticeable straight away, the full results will become visible after the skin has regenerated over a 4 week cycle.

Whilst the procedure is suitable for most people, there are some special precautions and advice to consider before electing for the treatment;

  • Clients with Asian or Black skin tones run a high risk of skin pigmentation issues post procedure
  • Due to pigmentation risks it is advisable that clients wait 3 weeks following prolonged sun exposure before treatment commences and wait 3 weeks post procedure before they are exposed to prolonged periods of sun. The use of a high SPF is strongly encouraged to maintain the longevity and effectiveness of the procedure.
  • Use of photosensitive medication or herbs can create pigmentation problems such as Isotretinoin,Tetracycline or St Johns Wort.
  • Clients with a history of Keloid scarring and clients suffering from Glycation.

Are you ready to look younger?

Book in for a free no-obligation consultation and we can discuss the options available to you, answer your questions and show you examples of our work. You don't even have to come into our studio as we can provide the consultation over video using WhatsApp, FaceTime or Skype.

Does it hurt?

Although everybody’s pain thresholds are different, the procedure is relatively pain free. We will apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area up to 60 mins before the procedure begins. Following the procedure clients have experienced a mild burning sensation similar to sun burn which subsides after a couple of hours. Alcohol intake does increase sensitivity to the procedure so we advise limiting alcohol consumption 1-2 days prior.

Do I need to take any time off work?

Whilst there is no medical reason why you should take time off work, some clients are conscious of the appearance of brown carbon dots and slight swelling that may occur so choose to coincide the procedure with a couple of days away from work.

Can I use cosmetic products following the procedure?

Do not apply any make up or alcohol based cleansers on the treated areas until the brown carbon dots have fallen off which is usually between 6-8 days. You may use an oxygenating breathable foundation to cover up the appearance of the dots and this will be applied before you leave the studio.

Will I need multiple sessions?

One treatment may be sufficient however this depends on the size of the area, the amount of loose skin and your expected degree of correction and tightening. Additional procedures may be performed 6-8 weeks after the first one.  Clients that require additional sessions will receive 50% discount off standard pricing.

How long is the procedure?

Most sessions including consultation, anaesthetic, preparation, consent forms and procedure are completed in 2 hours although it depends on the size of the area being treated.

Are there any side effects after the treatment?

Plasma is very safe and side effects are rare. Infection, scarring and temporary change of skin pigmentation may occur if the aftercare instructions are not followed.

Plasma Fibroblast Skin Tightening

Day 1 "Treatment Day"

  • Following the treatment most people experience a mild burning sensation similar to sunburn which should subside after a couple of hours although is dependent on your individual sensitivity tolerance.
  • If you feel particularly uncomfortable, you can take your preferred anti-inflammatory medication, such as ibuprofen or antihistamine.
  • It is usual for the treated area to become swollen especially around the more delicate areas such as the eyes. This is the body's natural healing response and is a good sign.
  • Start applying a small amount of Colloidal Silver 1-2 times a day and continue until healing is complete.

Day 2-8

  • Swelling is likely to intensify between day 2-4 and should be completely gone by day 5-6.
  • In extreme cases eye treatment swelling may temporarily interfere with vision.
  • Use ice packs and cotton pads soaked in cold boiled water which will soothe and help reduce swelling
  • You may experience weeping from the treated area. This is simply plasma and is a natural healing response.
  • Brown carbon dots will appear on the surface of the skin and are likely to flake off by day 6-8. In some cases slow healers may experience up to 2 weeks before crust dots have completely disappeared.
  • DO NOT pick the crusts as it can lead to infection or scarring and is likely to reduce the final outcome.
  • Keep the treated area clean and dry. Use boiled water to keep area clean. Pat dry using clean towels.
  • Do not use alcohol based cleansers or apply plasters or occlusive dressing as this will interfere and slow down the healing process.
  • Do not use any make-up on the treated areas until crust dots have completely flaked off.
  • Use a high factor sunscreen SPF 50+ to avoid sun burn. The treated area will be highly sensitivity to sunlight. Continue using high SPF even after areas are fully healed to minimise sun damage and increase the longevity of the treatment.
  • From day 3 add 1-2 applications of a good scar cream into your daily routine.
  • Sports, swimming and sauna are not permitted until brown dot have fallen off.
